Despite various 'claims' by the British press to suggest that mobile phone use has a significant relationship on the risk of developing brain tumours, the vast majority of studies have shown no clear evidence that mobile phone use has a direct impact on the risk of brain cancer.
In fact, even the study which the British newspapers are quoting from overall showed no significant link. While the results of the study that the newspapers reported are accurate results, it appears that they have been taken out of context to seem more important and conclusive than they really were when looking at the study results overall.
A BBC news report stated that the results were 'inconclusive'. However, a number of these reports were posted before the actual research paper itself was published and may have been influenced by a series of alleged 'leaks' on the internet that selectively used data taken out of its correct scientific context.
